Whether you’re exploring career options, seeking training, or receiving one-on-one support, these videos will help you understand the steps to take, what services are available, and how to make the most of your experience. By following the roadmap, you’ll be empowered to reach your career goals with the support and resources you need to succeed.

You can complete the orientation either online or in person at any of our office locations. During the Self Reliance Team meeting, our staff will ask you a series of questions to understand your situation better and identify how our services can assist you in your journey toward self-reliance. We will assess your unique needs and connect you with the resources that can help you overcome obstacles and achieve your goals. | If you require personalized career support, you can access our Individualized Career Services. An Eligibility Specialist will collect your Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA) application, work authorization, selective service documentation (for males), and proof of residency. Once your documents have been reviewed and approved for eligibility, you will be assigned to an Employment Readiness Specialist for further assistance. | ||

In your first meeting with the Employment Readiness Specialist, you will discuss your career aspirations, identify potential challenges, and explore supportive services that can assist you in your career journey. | One of the initial services offered is our Job Readiness Workshop series. This 8-day program focuses on essential skills such as communication, problem-solving, resume basics, networking, and interview practice to help you succeed in the workplace. | ||

In our Career Assessment Room, you will complete the O*NET and WorkKeys assessments to discover your job interests and essential workplace skills. If needed, tutorials are available for additional support. These tools will assist you and your Employment Readiness Specialist in selecting the right career path. | Your Employment Readiness Specialist will help you create a personalized employment plan. Together, you will examine your education, work history, career goals, and other relevant factors to design a path to success. This plan will detail the services available to support you on your journey toward achieving successful employment. | ||

Explore programs in high-demand occupations across growing industries in Fresno County and begin your journey to success. | Your workshop facilitator will guide you through the Job Readiness Evaluation, allowing you to track progress, build confidence, and enhance employability through services such as tailored LinkedIn Learning paths and skill-building activities. | ||

Your Employment Readiness Specialist and Talent Management Specialist will assist you in creating standout resumes, performing well in interviews, and tackling any barriers to employment. Together, you will strive for meaningful, lasting career success! | Retention services are designed to support you on your path to lasting employment. Through regular check-ins, job leads when needed, and quarterly follow-ups, our Retention personnel help keep you on track for success, even after completing the program. |
